B&O Birding Big Sit COME LEARN ABOUT BIRDS ALONG THE B&O TRAIL FROM DAWN TO NOON AT THE WHITE LICK CREEK BRIDGE (WEATHER PERMITTING). On Saturday, May 11, 2024 a team of birders known as the “Brownsburg Railsitters” will be documenting all birds at the B&O trail bridge over White Lick Creek. From dawn until 12 noon the Railsitters will stay within the span of the bridge and expect to see and hear over 70 different species of birds during this peak time of migration. Great Blue Heron, Belted Kingfisher, Red-eyed Vireo, Wood Thrush, Blackburnian Warbler, and possibly Bald Eagle may be seen. Feel free to stop by and the team will be happy to point them out and offer tips on identification. Come and enjoy! Note: Inclement weather may alter hours or date of this event. |

"Blaze the B&O" Presented by IU Health West This will be our third annual walk/run event in 2024. "Blaze the B&O" is presented by IU Health West along with collaboration from the Brownsburg Running Club, the Brownsburg Parks Department and the B&O Trail Association. This fall walk/run event is held partly on the B&O Trail in support of the trail. Why not plan on participating in 2024. A registration link will be available in early summer. |
