As part of Mayor Ballard's ongoing Rebuild Indy infrastructure project, the city will replace the old bridge under Girl's School Road, just south of 21st Street, with a tunnel to accommodate future expansion of the B&O Trail in Marion County. The State previously placed a tunnel under 465 just east of this location as part of the Accelerate 465 project. Such accommodation is critical to development of the trail in Indianapolis.
